Opened 5 21 1932 by The Carters.
A husband and wife that used twine to map out a garden path.
Featuring over 400 varieties of plant life indigenous to the region.
Amazing what teamwork can accomplish.
Straddles Georgia and Tennessee
Lover's Leap
The story comes from hundreds of years ago,
spawning from a Cherokee legend where two star-crossed lovers from warring tribes fell in love.
When one was thrown from the outcropping,
the other followed out of love and adoration.
The rocks have been steeped in selfless love ever since.
