Cossã or coisã (khoisan) is the unifying designation of two distinct ethnic groups living in southern Africa that share some physical and linguistic characteristics. The two groups are the Sãs, also known as Bushmen or Boximans, who are hunter-gatherers, and the Cois, who are shepherds and who were called by European colonizers. Apparently, these peoples have a long history, estimated at several thousand (perhaps tens of thousands) of years, but they are now reduced to small populations, located mainly in the Kalahari Desert, Namibia, but also in Botswana, Angola and the Desert.
They are usually small in stature, brownish in skin color and with Asian-looking faces. For more information email us on [email protected]
