I am using the XT-9 by Symbiotechs USA (now called K-12 Prosthetics) This knee was designed by Jarem Frye. When I lost my leg I was devastated and did not want to live anymore. But two days after I woke up I saw a video that Jarem had put out using this knee. He was telemark skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding and Rockclimbing. I was completely surprised. I was instantly given Hope. I knew that if he could do it then I could. And so the Journey began. Jarem Frye was the first man to come up with the idea and design for a high activity knee. I am forever grateful for what he has made possible for myself and hundreds of amputees around the world. Several other amputees have since built upon his original idea and created their own knee designs. Also I want to thank Connie and Onno at ALTA ski resort for always seeing my potential and giving me a seasons pass at ALTA every year since losing my leg!!! Other thanks to: Randy Carson my physical therapist who taught me to walk, Craig Armstrong who made my first leg along with all the other men and women at Hanger Prosthetics who continue to keep me able to put one foot in front of the other, My Friends and Family who helped my get through all the tough times.
