Municeddhe Salentine (Snails from Salento)

Описание: The Snails from Salento are a very popular traditional dish. They are called "Municeddhe". The origin of the name is believed to be from the italian word "Monachelli", used to call the monks. It was believed that the colour of these Snails recalls the colour of the monk's suit and also the nuns' cap.
In Salento they are cooked in various ways, here you can see one of the most famous preparation.
