If you have a low sports car, I’m sure you’ve experienced that dreaded sound of scraping as you entered a steep driveway or pulled out from a parking lot at the wrong angle. This is an even bigger problem on a Lotus Elise or Exige where the front bumper is part of a single, expensive clamshell. In this video, I’ll show you how to install skid plates to protect and avoid damaging the clamshell on your Lotus. A similar technique can be used for the bumpers on other cars.
