Avoid Heatstroke: Best Summer Diet Tips, Expert Shares Simple Food Advice

Описание: Delhi is facing extreme heat, and heatstroke is a serious risk. Dr. Prameet Kaur, Chief Dietitian at AIIMS Delhi, shares important diet tips to stay safe in hot weather.

She advises eating light and easy-to-digest food during summer. Avoid spicy, oily, very sweet, and salty foods as they can cause dehydration. Instead, include yoghurt, buttermilk, mint chutney, and Bel sharbat in your diet as they help cool the body.

She also recommends making simple ORS at home using 1 litre of water, 6 teaspoons of sugar, and half a teaspoon of salt. Lemon or orange juice can be added for taste, but it should be consumed within 2 hours.
