The Beekeeper's Quilt: a true yarn
Some years ago on the knitting scene
Appeared a star, a knitting queen
Her name was Dosen, Stephanie
And her designs graced Ravelry.
The one with which all fell in love
Was one that I just had to have
She called it the Beekeeper's Quilt
All tiny hexis Poly filled
Knit in the round, made out of stash
Could save us all a pile of cash
They looked like so much fun to knit
I knew the quilt would be a hit.
And so I made those puffs galore
And only had one billion more
To make, when I thought that I ought
To see if I could join the lot.
So with the pattern as my guide
I made those quilt ties and I tied
But every method I applied
Those ties showed up on the right side.
No matter how I tried to hide
Those quilt ties showed on the right side
Those damn ties they would not stay down
And Stephanie, I think, left town.
I thought about them day and night
Could I let quilt ties win the fight?
And then I got it! Stop the press!
Use thicker yarn. So... did you guess?
Well finally I worked it out
Oh, yes, I did, without a doubt
Those cursed ties now can't be seen
But I'm not yet the knitting queen.
