What to Eliminate: The Pre-Painting Process

Описание: Some things are complicated to paint. A busy marketplace in Provence, France being one of them. In this video, I go through my selection process of what to eliminate. I start with how I'd crop a complicated photo, the design I'm thinking of, and then how I would eliminate everything that did not support that design.

This is part one. I show the thinking behind the composition. My process. And the block-in of neutrals that will act as the underpainting.

Next week I will demonstrate from block in to finished painting with my full color palette.
