A New Year's Eve walk from Minnis Bay to Margate (including lunch at The Margate Coffee Shed)

Join us for a walk along the Kent coast from Minnis Bay to Margate on 31 December 2021. We parked on The Parade in Birchington (try CT7 9LX if you need a postcode) and then walked for just under two hours at a leisurely pace into Margate. On our way we passed West Bay (in Westgate), St Mildred's Bay and Westbrook Bay. Once we'd arrived we headed for our favourite cafe in town, The Margate Coffee Shed where we tried their Shroom Brunch. According to Iona's Fitbit it was 23,820 steps there and back, but she does only have little legs so taller people can probably knock a couple of thousand steps off of that!
