Lou was born in the Netherlands and started dancing at the age of 4 and began training at Tanz Akademie Zurich at the age of 10. After participating in YAGP she won the Audience Favorite Award at the 2015 Prix de Lausanne and the Gold Medal at the 27th Varna International Ballet Competition in 2016.

Lou went on to join Queensland Ballet as a company artist in 2016.

Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) is the world's largest student ballet scholarship competition and global dance network, connecting students, teachers, schools, dance companies, and audiences worldwide.
