Описание: Target's Phil "The Power" Taylor provided the fairytale ending to his career in Blackpool, with a spectacular 16th and final World Matchplay title.

The most successful player in darts history produced a vintage display to beat world number three Peter Wright 18-8 in his last Winter Gardens campaign before retiring from professional darts at the end of the year.

"The Power" repeatedly punished his opponent's misses, with Taylor hitting more than half his darts at double and averaging in excess of 104 over the course of the match.
"It's lovely, it really is and I've loved every minute of it," said the 16-time Champion.

"To win a major at my age is fantastic, and I've had a tough week when you look at the draw.

"I'll miss this place tremendously - I've loved it here since the first time I walked through the door. It's great to win again and it will go down in history, and I'm delighted for everyone who's supported me."

It completed a stunning series of results from "The Power" - beating the top player from Wales, Gerwyn Price, followed by three fellow World Champions: Raymond van Barneveld, Michael van Gerwen and Adrian Lewis, before taking out UK Open Champion Wright in the final.
