SARGENT 708 Auto Set Plane

Описание: The SARGENT 708 Auto Set Plane rehab and test.
Sargent went head to head with Stanley and made some very fine planes, what we have in this video is a 708 smoother similar in size to the Stanley No. 3. The Auto set planes by Sargent caused Stanley to buy GAGE and sell the Stanley Gauge Planes to compete. I’m not sold on the auto set functionality, but putting that aside the 700 series is probably my favorite vantage bench plane.
