JR talks to Mark Rappolt, editor-in-chief at ArtReview, on the occasion of his solo show at the new Perrotin gallery in London.
Through more than twenty works, the exhibition presents two series of recent ongoing projects: ‘Deplacé-e-s’ shares the stories of refugee children from around the world, in which portraits enlarged on giant banners are visible from the sky, and, building upon ‘Deplacé-e-s’, ‘Les Enfants d’Ouranos’ explores the tension between the visible and invisible through anonymous, black and white silhouettes on wood panels.
