In this detailed tutorial, I’ll guide you through building a wireless communication system using three ESP32 boards without the need for the internet! We’ll use the ESPNOW platform to set up direct communication between the boards. The first ESP32 acts as a client, the second as both server and client, and the third as a server. With two 4-digit display modules and an OLED 1306 display, we’ll show how to transfer numbers via keypads and display them across all boards. I’ll also answer the key question: what happens when the second ESP32 board is turned off?
