In August 2025, the UN Women Knowledge and Partnerships Centre in the Republic of Korea hosted the “Academic Conference on the Intersection of AI and Gender: Critical Exploration of Gender Bias and Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence”.
The conference served as a platform for academics, technologists, and policymakers to exchange insights, showcase innovations, and share experiences to strengthen multi-stakeholder collaboration toward developing ethical, inclusive, and gender-responsive AI systems.
