Welcome to a new Talks on Architecture and Beyond! My name is Patricia, and I'm here in the showroom in Cosentino City Singapore. We are excited to show you a little more of what has been happening in our talks. This is the third session we are hosting with Talks on Architecture and Beyond, and it's our fifth talk of the year. Today's talk is titled "Sustainability Functionality and Smiles," and we are thrilled to have Markus Roselieb, founder of Chiangmai Life Architects, as our special speaker. This year, our Talks on Architecture and Beyond series focuses on the theme of commitment to the future, the planet, and the people. Sustainable innovation and materiality are crucial topics in the field of architecture, as we strive to build sustainable cities and resilient communities. Architects need to innovate and find creative solutions to design sustainably, prioritizing energy efficiency and respect for the environment. This includes using materials that are renewable and have a lower carbon footprint.

We have invited architects from Singapore and the region to share their personal journeys, project typologies, methodologies, and creative solutions. Today, we are honored to welcome Markus Roselieb from Chiangmai Life Architects. His focus on sustainability, functionality, and smiles is truly inspiring. His designs create spaces that draw attention, foster a positive and happy atmosphere, and bring smiles to clients, end-users, and even the planet. With a preference for natural materials like bamboo and clay, Markus and his team combine functionality with flowing organic design.
