Seacliff State Beach has been a beloved and historic destination for Californians, but unfortunately, due to the impacts of recent storms, over half of the pier has been destroyed and the remaining structure is in imminent danger of collapsing.
In this video, we announce the demolition of the pier starting on March 20th for the safety of all visitors to the park. The process is expected to take six weeks and will leave no visible portions of the pier. We will make all efforts to remove items from the pier prior to demolition, including the lifeguard tower and memorial benches. We remain committed to ensuring the safety of all visitors to this park and continuing efforts to increase equitable and sustainable access to public outdoor spaces.
