Описание: Welcome to the Waves for Change global surf therapy community!

Waves for Change (W4C) launched as a child-friendly mental health programme in 2011. We have worked with researchers, universities and community members in coastal communities around the world to design, pilot, and share programmes fusing the rush of surfing with evidence-based mind/body therapeutic activities.

We know surf therapy works and we want to share it with surf communities around the world, so more people can experience the emotional, mental, and physical health benefits of the stoke of surfing. The activities and coach practices we’re sharing can be integrated into any surf community and structure - from an informal surf club to an established surf school. They are a guide, and can be adapted to context, conditions, your participants, and the resources available.

This session is POWER OBJECT.
Our Power Objects are things that remind us of times when we feel happy, strong, calm, and cared for. Together, we find these objects at the beach, and think about positive memories which make us feel good. We can use these objects to make us feel good whenever we need to, even when away from the beach.
