This Tai Chi video is a very short Tai Chi clip that we teach in our courses. Students are trained to do massage using body mechanics elements taken from Tai Chi. Whereas yoga is about balancing ones own body. Tai Chi takes into account the energy of a second body which we need to balance with - in order to have a long and healthy career in Massage.
Body Mechanic principles that inspire us from Tai Chi include:
Extended Head
Soft Gaze on the Horizon
Relaxed Shoulders
Eggs under armpits
Soft elbows
Soft wrists
Full Breath in belly
Tai Chi trunk (stacked spine)
Follow your Tan Tien (2 inches bellow belly botton)
Bent knees
Complete shift of weight
