Описание: Greenland’s prime minister on Thursday rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that he had reached a “framework” agreement with NATO affecting the Arctic island, saying he was unaware of any concrete deal and warning that Greenland’s sovereignty is a red line. Jens-Frederik Nielsen said any agreement must involve Greenland and Denmark and respect territorial integrity, after Trump announced the framework following talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Davos and later suggested the U.S. could gain access to minerals, missile defenses or military options. Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump said negotiations could last “forever” and that the United States could “do military” if it chose, comments that have heightened tensions across Europe and raised fresh concerns over Arctic security.
