BNSF's Northern Transcon in Minnesota: The Staples Subdivision - FULL VIDEO (2003)

Описание: In this production, C. Vision takes you back to the early days of BNSF while we explore the east end of BNSF's Staples Subdivision, between Staples, Minnesota and Northtown Yard in the Twin Cities. A wide variety of trains and locomotives are seen in this program, with footage captured between the late 1990s and early 2000s. From older SD40-2s and C30-7s to brand-new GE Dash 9-44CW locomotives, this video documents a colorful era in BNSF's motive power history. Locomotives from BN, BNSF, ATSF, EMD (former Oakway SD60s), LRCX, HLCX, MRL, and LMX are all seen powering trains across the Staples Sub. Our cameras spend time in Staples, Little Falls, St. Cloud, Becker (home of NSP’s coal-fired power plant), Big Lake, Elk River, Anoka, Coon Rapids (Coon Creek), and Fridley (Northtown Yard). In addition, we visit many smaller communities and points of interest along the route. We also catch a very special move on the branch between Little Falls and Camp Ripley, with BNSF 2306 powering a military train headed for the training camp. Locations and trains are identified using on-screen graphics, with origination, destination, and train type included with the train symbols.
