15 Windows MIDI files played on a YAMAHA Electone (ELB-01)

Описание: About six years ago, I made a random video introducing the YAMAHA Electone, specifically the ELB-02, by playing some random Windows MIDIs I had lying around in my USB drive. (Here's a link to it:    • Windows 95 MIDI files played on a Yamaha E...  ) I wasn't sure what I was doing, but I heard one of the nicest renditions of those MIDIs during that time, being aware of these hidden Windows MIDIs. That video was long overdue for a full analog recording, but I did not have that newer version of the Electone, and neither did I have the proper equipment to record the internal audio properly. However, since the samples on the ELB-02 are nearly identical to its predecessor (ELB-01), this actually resembles both models very well. The ELB-01 is the very same model that I used in my YAMAHA Electone classes.

Not only did most of the MIDIs sound great on the Electone, it also kind of resembles the SC-55 and the SC-88 from Roland, which were the main staples of the early General MIDI days. More specifically, the way the drums had some reverb to it. PASSPORT and CANYON were by far the best renditions I've heard, and I'd personally say they are almost on par with the SC-55's renditions.

Also, some MIDIs (CANYON and PASSPORT) were fixed since there were some errors where some drum channels would play as piano channels. All of these MIDIs were played live on the Electone and captured using analog recording.
