Her bottom has been totally stripped of the 10 +/- red lead and other ablative bottom It has been refastened. A myriad of gouges, through-and-through holes, as well as no-longer-needed thruhulls have been repaired and closed with Dutchmen.
Her totally-rotted, fiberglassed-stuffed keel been replaced using FAS grade white oak.
The entire bottom received four coats of Smith's Original CPES.
The strake-to-strake seams, stem, knee, and gripe have been sealed with fillets of TotalBoat Thixo Flex Flexible Epoxy Adhesive.
We also payed endless fissures in the stem, knee and gripe with TotalBoat Thixo Flex Flexible Epoxy Adhesive.
After we replaced the rotten keel, everything was sealed with four more coats of Smith’s CPES.
Now Rick is applying four coats of Pettit Specialty 6627 Tie Coat Primer, and was applying the second coat as I shot this video.
From there we will move to the topsides, transom, decks and covering boards.
