This project was a marsh creation joint venture sponsored by the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority as well as the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The project took wetlands that had eroded away into open waters and brought them back to their original conditions with a total of 478 acres being created. Not only are our wetlands an integral part of hurricane protection for our local communities but they provide extensive habitats for the thousands of species that call our marsh lands home. As sportsmen, we fully understand the value of our marshes and strive to do anything we can to make sure they remain for our future generations.
We would also like to thank Weeks Marine for allowing us the opportunity to be part of this job and restoring our coastlines to the best that they can be.
