Vlogmas 2024 | Day 2 | Soft Molasses Cookies!

That’s right it’s that time of year again! This will be my second year doing the full Vlogmas, 26 videos (yes I know I am crazy lol) and the third Vlogmas altogether.

Today is Day 2 of our Vlogmas series and today we are making a yummy cookie! Soft molasses cookies are a great way to get the gingerbread taste and experience without the hard cookie! And so easy to make!

Soft Molasses Cookies

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup molasses
1 egg (room temp)
2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

1) mix butter and sugars together until well blended and fluffy. Add molasses and mix well then add egg and vanilla mixing until well blended

2) Combine all other ingredients in a bowl and slowly add the dry mix to the wet mix, blending well until soft dough forms. Cover and chill for 1 hour.

3) preheat the oven to 350F. Roll dough into small balls then roll in white sugar. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or silicon mats and bake for 10 to 12 min. Move to a cooling rack, let cool and enjoy!
