Ahead of Winter Storm Fern, we sat down with Mr. Kenny Thompson, specialist in South Western City Schools’ grounds division to share what it really takes to prepare the district for winter weather. The work starts long before the first snowflake falls, with early mornings, careful planning, and real-time weather monitoring. Thanks to our team’s behind-the-scenes efforts, our buildings and campuses were safely prepared so students and staff could return to school with confidence and a renewed focus on learning this week!
