The Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) has said that it is not "legally entitled" to revoke a certificate of eligibility to a presidential hopeful once it is issued. It gave this statement in response to the resurfacing of Tan Kin Lian's past remarks on women on social media. the PEC added that any additional facts regarding a candidate after the issuance would be for the public to assess before casting their vote.
