If you've been trading for a while you probably know that trading discipline is critical when trading. Everything is very simple to do in theory but that's theory and the reality is very different. Attack one problem at a time; you need to break down problems into individual parts or you won't stand a chance. If you're trading too much (overtrading) you need to address that issue before turning to other problems. Focus on that issue and don't get overwhelmed by stretching yourself too thin.
Give yourself proof of 'why'. The main reason you don't stick to your rules is that you don't believe in your rules.
Introduce a carrot and stick - if you stick to your trading plan reward yourself for it. If you break the rules then you restrict yourself.
For myself I had a serious problem with trading discipline and when I started focusing on one thing at a time things started improving.
