Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s recent assertion that his government will go ahead with building the dam across River Cauvery, has re-kindled tensions in Tamil Nadu. Various political parties including the ruling DMK have opposed Shivakumar’s remarks.
