Описание: Valentina Gambacorta, PhD, Merus N.V., Utrecht, The Netherlands, talks on how our knowledge of epigenetic deregulation mechanisms can be used to design treatments for relapsed patients with leukemia. Clinical trials are currently investigating the efficacy of epigenetic agents including hypomethylating agents in patients with hypomethylated CIITA promoters, as well as compounds targeting PRC2, a repressor complex involved in T-cell inactivation. Some agents including azacitidine have been approved for the treatment of different types of hematological malignancies. Further research is required to better understand the role of epigenetics in relapse. This interview took place at the 2021 Relapse After HSCT² Workshop in New York, NY.
