Most bike shops are using multi standard face cutters for T47 shells. They get the job done, but they are not truly sized for the standard, and that matters when you care about how a threaded bottom bracket seats and how long those bearings stay quiet.
In this video, Ben from NBX and Rotation Engineering walks through a custom T47 specific face cutter that drops right onto the existing Park guide. Same setup, same path, but a diameter that better matches the T47 shell so you get cleaner frame prep and better support for the bearings.
Rotation Engineering is a sponsor of It’s Just A Hill, and NBX Bikes in Narragansett, Rhode Island is the official bike shop of the club. If you are into high quality frame prep, waxed chains, and bottom brackets that do not creak, Rotation is very much your people.
