Session 4: Responsible Leadership and Strategy
In this session, we will explore how responsible leadership and strategic management are essential for embedding ethics and corporate citizenship into business practice. Building on the foundations laid in Sessions 1–3, this session will shift our focus to practical implementation and long-term value creation.

Leadership as moral navigation A responsible leader is a moral agent who steers the organisation through complexity and tension.
Strategy as the map Strategic management is the ongoing process of aligning business decisions to sustainability goals including direction, analysis, choice, implementation, and review.
Ethics as the compass Leadership without ethics can lead to short-term gains and long-term collapse.
Sustainability as structure We will look at sustainability like the four legs of a table comprising environmental, social, governance, and financial aspects.
