7 VA Programs Expire December 11 Unless Congress Acts - Most Never Check

Описание: If you are a veteran, or the spouse or grown child of one, a list of VA programs now has a stop date of December 11, 2026, and Congress has not voted to move it.
Your monthly check is not on that list by anything I could find. The grants, housing help, school protections and care authorities are, and the date is only about ten weeks after the old September 30 one. Doing nothing means finding out late. Most people miss which group is about care, not paperwork.

Group 7: Health care authorities - mental health, suicide prevention, nursing home care
Who this does not touch - the seven advance-funded accounts CRS says were unaffected

The catch - a recurring stopgap, H.R. 8469 passed the House 400 to 15 and is not law
