Bringing 300lbs of Dead Clay Back to Life (pug-mill ASMR)

Описание: In this video at Corvus Moon Studio, I tackle nearly 300 lbs of old studio clay that’s been sitting around — some rock hard, some barely usable — and bring it all back to life.

First, I rehydrate the dried-out clay (I’ve covered this process in a previous video), then cut everything down into manageable chunks to run through the pug mill. But before we can start reclaiming clay properly… the pug mill itself needs attention.

Instead of tearing the whole machine apart (I’ve done that before too), I walk through a quick way to get the pug mill running again and back in action.

Once it’s alive, we start feeding it.

What follows is a strangely satisfying stretch of hyperlapse pugging as the machine steadily extrudes tube after tube of freshly reclaimed clay. Calm, slightly chaotic, and maybe a little grotesque — in the best possible way.
