Dr Samuel C Boone is a senior research fellow in tectonics and thermochronology at the University of Adelaide Department of Earth Sciences and the University of Melbourne School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. His work aims to better our understanding of Earth's dynamic evolution by constraining the thermal and tectonic history of the crust in relation to the growth and breakup of continents. To do this, he integrates field observations, low-temperature thermochronology, structural geology, geochronology, and geochemistry.
