That’s rare for a rookie.” King also noted how Shedeur’s connection with receivers like Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman during camp showed early chemistry the Browns haven’t fully tapped into yet.

From King’s perspective, the Browns’ season is teetering between development and disappointment. Rolling with Sanders now, he says, could change the trajectory of both. “You can’t keep playing it safe,” King concluded. “Cleveland’s been patient long enough. If you believe in Shedeur — and clearly they do, otherwise he wouldn’t be here — it’s time to stop talking about potential and start living it. Let the kid play.”
