Mitsubishi Colt 1.1i - Engine Repair Attempt (HD)

Описание: So the engine suffered a failure as one of the exhaust valves partly broke off and the three cylinder engine did run only on the its two cylinders. Cylinder head was off, so we knew this. We will attempt to rebuild the cylinder head, but not only that, we'll also solve the excessive oil consumption of well over 1 litre per 1000 km by putting new piston rings on. The pistons were so ugly carbonised, you wouldn't believe it. And by sorting them out it also means, we'll need to do refurbish the cylinders too. Anyway, the biggest surprise was the cylinder head...

TOOLS:
magnetic tool for the valve tappets
flat screw driver
wire brush small and big
frill with a wire brush
vice
scrape cleaning tool
valves extractor tool
flex hone tool or some honing tool for the cylinders, diameter 75 mm,
90° angle adapter for the drilling machine
screw driver for small sockets
ratchet big and small with a set of nuts
optional an ultrasonic cleaning device for injectors
knife for piston grooves cleaning
thin pliers for the valve sealing rings
cleaning brush
some sanding barel 80 grit
grinding paste for the valve seats, medium
some valve holder tool while grinding them in
hammer eventualy for the new valve stem seals
if you didn't lost your valve spring shims, the lathe want be needed, or you can buy some from mitsubishi dealership directly
a syringe for valve leak test via technical gasoline
precise ruler for cylinder head flatness check

special solvent for us cleaning device

some cleaning solvent like technical gasoline
one new exhaust valve
