The Great Famine and Irish Politics - A Lecture by Professor Peter Gray

Описание: This lecture is the fifth in a six-part series exploring Irish history from the Plantation of Ulster to Partition, organised to mark the 250th anniversary of Armagh Robinson Library, Northern Ireland's oldest public library. It considers 'The Great Famine and Irish politics', including Daniel O'Connell and Young Ireland. The speaker, Professor Peter Gray, is Director of the Institute of Irish Studies at Queen's University Belfast.

The lecture was organised by Armagh Robinson Library, working in collaboration with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council and part-financed by the NI Executive Office. The Library is also grateful for support from the Northern Ireland Museums Council through its 'Museums Connect' programme.
