Bonaparte’s Retreat (King) by Billy Grammer with the Anita Kerr Singers
The Pee Wee King song had achieved its greatest popularity via Kay Starr’s best-selling 1950 version. This, along with the also-posted flip side “The Kissing Tree,” was the follow-up single release to Billy’s hit “Gotta Travel On.” A slightly different arrangement of “Bonaparte’s Retreat” has also been issued on CD, but this post is the original single version.
