4 Mountain Peaks in 1 Day?! | Bestie Camping + Hiking Weekend in Franconia Notch

Come along on a 3-day adventure through Franconia Notch State Park with my best friend of 26 years. 🌲✨

We hiked the legendary Franconia Ridge Loop (yep—almost 3900 ft of elevation 🥵 and 9 miles!), explored waterfalls, made simple yet delicious GF meals by the fire, and ended our nights with s’mores and hammock chats. This weekend was full of laughter, off grid time, and the kind of connection that feels like home.

Our Itinerary:

Day 1: After picking me up at Logan, we drove to Bedford NH to stop at REI, The Friendly Toast for lunch and Whole Foods for some groceries. We then set up camp at Lafayette Campground, visited The Basin, checked out the town lot Lincoln and had a yummy campfire dinner and s’mores!

Day 2: We woke up, had a breakfast of oatmeal, fruit and hot drinks. Then we hiked the Franconia Ridge trail. The trailhead is walkable from the campground, so there was no fighting for parking!! This took us 11 hours. We went back to camp, ate another incredible campfire dinner and s’mores before heading to bed.

Day 3: Breakfast was bagels and fruit with hot drinks. Then we hiked The Flume. You did need to buy tickets to hike the Flume. You’ll understand when you see all the bridges and stairs.

Next we packed a picnic lunch and hikes the Pemi Trail from the campsite to Profile Lake where we had a yummy lunch. We rested a camp for a little while and did Epsom Salt Foot Masks in our hammocks before having dinner at The Common Man. Last we had s’mores one more time with cups of peppermint tea before our trip ended.

Day 4: We woke up at 4:15, broke down camp, ate a quick breakfast and got me to Logan airport for 7AM.
