In this walk-through I talk through the steps I took to build tidy benchwork for my model railway. The floating approach refers to using the walls to take the weight of the layout. It means there are no untidy and costly dressed pine legs to get in the way of cleaning. It also provides maximum access space underneath for reaching the underside of your layout.
I am using 90 x 35mm structural pine fixed to the wall studs with 75mm screws. This benchwork is rock solid and in the video I talk through some pros and cons to this approach.
