The French Quarter is really cool, and I think there are some great things about living here! However, there are definitely some things to know before you move to the French Quarter, because it’s not for everyone.
Some of the pros include the beautiful architecture, the street car (which makes riding around time really convenient), the warm weather, the friendly people, and some of the best food you could possibly ask for! New Orleans is rich in culture in general, but the French Quarter offers some very unique restaurants and amazing shopping all up and down the streets. I’ll also tell you all about the cool festivals here in this area, which is a huge draw from people who are visiting especially.
There are definitely a few cons here, though, and one of the biggest ones is that the traffic can get a little bit excessive, and the construction is CONSTANT. It seems like they are always working on something here in the French quarter, so that can definitely slow you down if you’re driving through town in this are. That being said, plan a little extra time, or take advantage of the public transportation, and you should be fine!
