It was our brother B-Fine of Full Force who laid down the whole blueprint concept of Roxanne Roxanne while UTFO followed his lead by writing their own clever lyrics as Mixmaster Ice spun and scratched like a musician on his turntable to B-Fine's direction. We sang the Background Vocals & the rest became groundbreaking rap hip hop history.

This song was a fast hit already when it spawned over twenty five response answer back records, which was led by Roxanne Shante's Roxanne's Revenge then Sparky Dee with Sparky's Turn then with our own production of The Real Roxanne by Roxanne & UTFO with Elease Jack on that 1st recording then Joanne Martinez became The Real Roxanne in the UTFO video before recording other records on her own as the Real Roxanne.

Other reply songs followed like Roxanne's Mother, Roxanne's Dog, Roxanne's A Man, etc. It became the Roxanne wars. LOL
