Child Care (CDC) for US Military Families PCSing to Germany - Child Youth Services & School Age Care

Описание: Child Care for Military Families in Germany falls under "Child & Youth Services."

There are 4 Main Options:
1. CDC - Child Development Center: Six weeks – before Kindergarten

2. School Age Center: K-5, before and after school care, full days during summer break and any school closure days

3. Family Child Care (FCC) - Qualified child care professionals in your home (smoking free, pet free, etc)

4. 24/7 Center - For childcare during non traditional schedules

Before using these services, you need to be enrolled and put on the waiting list, so follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Go to militarychildcare.com https://public.militarychildcare.csd....

Create an account and household profile. This is important because it will determine childcare priority, when you need child care, the type of care, such as full time/part time, special medical/learning/behavorial needs, and which location you need care at.

It also notifies the listed contact for available childcare openings.
This is a notification you do NOT want to miss. BTW, you should be doing this BEFORE you arrive, but if you don’t have a home address in Germany, use your sponsors address or an On-base PO box until you have your physical address.

Pro Tip: You can apply for more than one types of care at the same time (Ex: Graf, Vilseck, and FCC).

2. Register with CYS through webtrac

First select your installation, then “Start Registration.” Put in your contact info and your emergency contact, who could be your sponsor or work colleague for the time being.

3. Documents - from Webtrac go to "Forms" and you’ll be able to see a full registration checklist, but you can also fill out health assessments, and any other special needs forms for your kid. All those forms can be sent to Parent Central Services: [email protected]

Once you’ve done all those steps, wait for Parent Central Services to contact you. You can also call, or physically go there to check your status and learn more about the program.
