The service supports women in the perinatal phase, from pregnancy to one year postpartum, through engaging their spouses when emotional needs are high and misunderstandings are common..
Hear me out strengthens community support activities in providing tools that help women express how they feel, while offering men clear, actionable guidance on how to respond. Central to the project is a scalable conversation toolkit for organisations working with women in the perinatal period, comprising persona-based dialogue cards, an emotional check-in support chart, and a facilitation sheet with a workshop guide.
This project is a collaboration between the MA Service Design course (LCC, UAL), Tower Hamlets Council for Voluntary Services and WIT. Hear Me Out was co-created and tested with the Women Inclusive Team (WIT), a trusted voluntary organisation working closely with the Somali community in Tower Hamlets.
