The cooling system is getting a refresh close to the 100k mile mark. Covered in this video are review of parts installed, how to get the car on jack stands, disassembly of the belt driven fan, belts, hoses, tensioners, pulleys, water pump, and thermostat. Additionally I show how to drain the coolant from the vehicle (radiator, and block), as well as replace the coolant overflow/expansion tank, along with bleeding the entire system.
This guide should be applicable to all BMW 6 cylinder engines. More specifically the M50/M52/M54/S50/S52.
