Syracuse has fired its sidewalk snow removal contractor mid-season after residents complained that sidewalks were left buried and dangerous, and the city has reassigned the work to JSK Snow Removal.
The city switched contractors, replacing Kimball and Kimball with JSK following resident complaints. Neighbors said walking conditions this winter have often been difficult, with sidewalks covered in snow and ice and, at times, forcing people into the street.
