If you're traveling around Arkansas and need a nice relaxing place to camp. you need to check this out. It has so many waterfront sites on the Arkansas River / Murray Lake and is part of Murray Lock and Dam. As you sit and relax, you can watch the wildlife in the morning and evening. You can also catch a few barges going down the river and check out the fishing and boating going on. There are also 10 full hookup sites exclusively reserved for medical patients of UAMS. These sites must be reserved with approval from a park ranger. This park has so much to do with having five group shelters and picnic tables set up by the water for you to enjoy. Right across the river from the campground is the town of Maumelle with all the shopping and dining you could ask for. Also just down the interstate, you can find countless things to do in Little Rock. Also don't forget about Pinnacle Mountain State Park literally just up the road. The visitor center has bike paths for mountain bikes and electric off road wheel chairs. They even have a bike station set up to tighten and fix your bikes. You won't regret your time at Maumelle!!
