Описание: China has officially unveiled the export version of its fifth-generation stealth fighter jet — the J-35AE — and Pakistan is now emerging as the likely first buyer. Reports suggest Pakistani pilots are already training in China as Islamabad eyes up to 40 advanced stealth fighters in a major military upgrade.

Dubbed by critics as China’s answer to — or “rip-off” of — the U.S. F-35 Lightning II, the J-35AE features stealth design, internal weapons bays, AESA radar, and advanced targeting systems. Beijing is aggressively marketing the jet as a cheaper alternative to Western fifth-generation fighters.

The development comes amid deepening China-Pakistan defence ties and close to the anniversary of Operation Sindoor, which saw intense India-Pakistan aerial combat. Questions are now being raised over how the stealth jet deal could alter the regional balance of power in Asia.
