Kampi kay VP Duterte? Defensor may paliwanag sa posisyon ng NUP sa impeachment ng bise

Описание: Nagbigay ng paliwanag si Senior House Deputy Majority Leader Lorenz Defensor nitong Huwebes (Pebrero 26) kaugnay ng inilabas na pahayag ng National Unity Party (NUP) ukol sa nakaambang na impeachment proceedings laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Bagamat tila kumikiling ang NUP sa kampo ng bise, naniniwala pa rin si Defensor – isang NUP member – na "impeachable offense" ang mga nilalaman ng mga reklamo laban kay Duterte noong 19th Congress.

“As a prosecutor, I said I will maintain my position that if the evidence during the previous impeachment, especially the evidence on betrayal of public trust, I will not take back my previous vote during the previous impeachment,” paliwanag ni Defensor.

Gayunapaman, naniniwala rin si Defensor na irerespeto ng NUP ang opinyon niya gayundin ang kanya-kanyang posisyon ng iba nitong miyembro kaugnay ng nasabing impeachment case.

Inanunsyo ni Duterte nitong Pebrero 18 na tatakbo siya sa pagka-Pangulo sa 2028 national elections.

Samantala, magu-umpisa na sa Marso 2 ang inisyal na pagdinig ng House Committee on Justice sa mga impeachment complaints laban kay Duterte.
